ESPRit Conference 2025: Periodicals as Cultural Assemblages

13th ESPRit Conference (3-5 September, 2025)

The European Society for Periodical Research (ESPRit) held its 13th annual international conference at the Faculty of Philosophy and Letters, University of Málaga, from 3 to 5 September 2025. This year’s conference explored the theme “Periodicals as Cultural Assemblages”, with a focus on the periodical as a dynamic form composed of diverse textual, visual, material, and social elements. Participants examined how periodicals operate as sites of assemblage, bringing together disparate voices, formats, readers, and networks across time and space.
